It’s Hot Up Here
/Working on the steel structure during the hot summer months, the top floor is exposed to a lot of sun and the heavy reflection from the pan decking means wearing protective clothing and plenty of sunscreen. Pictured below, our lead guy takes the special weld inspector through the details before preparations are made for pouring the concrete floor.
Meanwhile below deck: with the structural rebar laid down over the steel pan decking, this floor is ready for the concrete pour.
All hands were on deck to screed and level the poured concrete on the second floor. In this weather, the guys worked particularly fast to keep the mix wet and from drying too quickly in the hot sun.
Let’s get framing.
